It’s a hard one. Such a beautiful place. I felt the same in Myanmar however there I couldn’t help but feel you had to contribute to the problems to enjoy it. I just hope we all as tourista/travelers remember to influence in the right way. But were lucky we see it now rather than another ten years! Thanks so much for commenting

We experienced many of the same tensions as you though, wishing that we had travelled there ten years ago when the tourist industry was less developed. We tried not to be part of the problem…I still don’t know if we were entirely successful. It was an amazing experience, but complicated.
