Glad that you liked my native city!=) Next time while visiting Kiev try 1-6 day tours to Chernobyl. After HBO series over 200k people have visited Chernobyl last year. One time unique experience.

Lviv is 2nd most beautiful city in Ukraine, you should also visit it. However some may say that it is the most beautiful on)

Dan, lovely photos and lovely blog.

I think all the time about how pictures fail to capture the atmosphere of somewhere special, so they leave the people at home — who can’t travel because of financial burdens, medical burdens, or other legitimate concerns — out in the cold. “You can’t tell me what it smells like in the Vatican,” to quote “Good Will Hunting.”

But this — I think this does a good job of telling me what it smells like in the Vatican, so to speak. Your writing is descriptive and poignant and it captures the essence of the region in a way that most mediums fail to.

I like it. Keep it up.
